Program Settings Saving & Restoring

Beginning from this version you can store all settings of the program to a file and restore them with a few clicks in the program. This is useful if you wish to replicate program settings on another computer or if you decided to reinstall your OS. The feature is accessible from the Options dialog:

Hotkey To Stop All Devices At Once

There is already a button to stop all visible on the menu devices at once. Now, following your requests we added a hotkey to this feature. The hotkey can be specified in the program Options:

Ability To Auto Close Autorun Processes

Since this version Zentimo can not only run programs automatically on device connection, but it may close them before device safe removal. Very useful feature if you setup Zentimo to auto launch your portable applications. The option is available from process settings dialog in both global & local autorun:

Option To Stop Device By Simply Clicking It

Some users were not happy to stop device by clicking to the stop icon that is displayed when you hover mouse over the device item in the menu (especially those ones who came from USB Safely Remove). For these users we added a correspondent option so that now you can stop devices the same way as in USB Safely Remove.

Hiding Systray Icon

Another option that is transferred from USB Safely Remove. By enabling this option the program will hide the systray icon when there are no drives to be stopped in the menu. After you insert a drive you will see the systray icon again. In order to display the stopping menu while there are no devices to be stopped you can  either use a hotkey (Win+S by default) or just go to Windows Start menu -> All Programs -> Zentimo and run it.

Device Icon Library Improved & Extended

The device icon library was significantly renewed: we improved old icons, added lots of new icons – more colors and models of flash drives, memory cards and external hard drives, also we added some new devices. Find below some of new icons:
We are constantly improving the program so feel free to send us any your comments, suggestions or bugs that you found.

Great application. I have been using since you first started with Zentrino. I was a Beta tester….
I find it extremely useful to manage all my hard drives, uninstalling and customizing the differnt options. I just wanted to make a suggestion:
Sometimes, stopping a drive is not possible because some program or funtion is using it. That is when I find “Unlocker” very handy. You should think of incorporating this in to your application. It is safe and it saves much time. Stubborn application release the drive in 98% of the cases.

    Keep up the good work!

      Hi Nick,
Thanks for your nice words! Actually Zentimo has its own integrated unlocker – when it is unable to stop a device the program will show you the windows with the locked processes and if you press “Forced Stop” button there if will unlock all the processes. I mean this window and this button:

      Haven’t you tried this?

      • avatar Nick Senon says:

No. It has not occured to me, as forced stop seemed a drastic term and thought it was best left alone… :) I will give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

I have press “Forced Stop” button but it will not unlock the processes
I must close my PC why?

I have tried the built in unlocker and I can say that the unlocker software goes further and is more effective than yours. I am saying this not as critizim but just so you can make yours even better. Just right click on the file or drive and choose unlocker, them choose the action to carry out. Presto!
Thanks for the update, I will install it straight away.
    Best wishes,
    Nicholas.

      Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for the note! It would be great if you send (from our support form) cases when our “Forced Stop” feature cannot stop the device while ‘unlocker’ is able to do that.

    (Windows XP SP3)
